CGS Contractors replaced the illuminated Suwanee sign on the city’s bridge for the City of Suwanee. Because the bridge carries live traffic, the job was scheduled after hours to keep disruption for drivers to a minimum.
The crew set up and maintained traffic control for the full duration of the work, removed the old sign, and used a telehandler to lift the new sign assembly into position on the bridge. Each letter was fitted, secured and connected, and the illuminated lettering was tested on site.
The project was completed safely and on time. It adds to CGS Contractors’ work in Suwanee, including the complete renovation of Suwanee Town Center Park and the pedestrian tunnel, drainage and concrete work at the park.
